Unfolding Hope: The Podcast

✨ Who Will Take Care of Us?

From the blog series All Good Things, now part of the Unfolding Hope project—where lyrical storytelling merges with visual and audio presentation.

This is my goodbye to the classroom. A love letter to my students, my body, and the teacher I was. A quiet surrender. A beginning I didn’t plan for. But the moon reminded me—I’m still worthy of change. Of peace. Of breath. If you’ve ever had to leave something you loved because your body asked you to… If you’ve ever questioned your worth because of what you could no longer carry… This one’s for you. ✨ Breathe

From the blog series All Good Things, now part of the Unfolding Hope project—where lyrical storytelling merges with visual and audio presentation.

You know that feeling in the horror movie when you hold your breath, hoping the killer doesn’t see you? That. That’s how I describe my illness today. Don’t move too fast, and it won’t get you. But I remembered my former physical therapist telling me, “Breathe, Jon. Breathe.”

✨ TWO-TEA-BAG DAY

From the blog series All Good Things, now part of the Unfolding Hope project—where lyrical storytelling merges with visual and audio presentation.

Sometimes, healing looks like a walk in the cold with Brandi Carlile in your ears and a second cup of tea in your hand. This reflection—part prose, part memory, part breath—is for anyone navigating the space between rest and restlessness, identity and illness, past and present.

✨ Glitter Dreams

From the blog series All Good Things, and a personal essay, now part of the Hope Unfolding project—where lyrical storytelling merges with visual and audio presentation.

Resurrection isn’t just about coming back—it’s about rising in new ways, in new light. This Easter, I remember the power of stories, of connections, and of rising again. What story will you let rise today? Subscribe today for more stories: https://www.youtube.com/@JonathanMichaelSaucedo

✨ STILLNESS

From the blog series All Good Things, now part of the Unfolding Hope project—where lyrical storytelling merges with visual and audio presentation.

I had just returned to teaching, enjoying my first real break from IVIg, immunosuppression, and chemo drugs. My classroom was loud, but it was a place I loved. I rolled out of there each day with equal parts tension and gratitude, finally able to say, "I’m tired for a reason, not just from being sick. Not just from Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP), which had crossed into my Central Nervous System." Saying, "I’m tired" felt selfish back then. Now, I know it’s not.

Hope Unfolding is the visual storytelling extension of my blog, All Good Things, which began in 2022 as a space to explore teaching, chronic illness, and the shifting seasons of identity and purpose. What started as reflections on what I might be losing became a lyrical embrace of what I continue to gain: perspective, connection, and—above all—hope. Through short, podcast-style videos, Unfolding Hope weaves prose, poetry, and personal essays into a space where love, resilience, and compassion take center stage.
